About Think Jam

We are a leading entertainment creative agency serving the world’s top fandoms and franchises on the frontlines of social. We work in partnership with studios, executives and IP holders to give these fandoms a voice on social, and turn marketing channels into vibrant homes for entertainment, with highly engaged communities. We are a globally remote, highly ambitious team, who bring their passion to work every day.

About The Role

We’re seeking a talented and driven Fan Editor to join our team. You have a strong instinct for social-first content, with a deep understanding of fandoms, platform behaviour, and how to craft content that cuts through.

This is a social-first editing role at its core. You live and breathe fan culture, understand how audiences remix and respond to content, and create high-impact video edits and static content that feel native to both platform and fandom.

You’ll be working on first-class franchises with a team of leading strategists and creatives in the fandom and franchise space. You’ll be given clear objectives and exciting creative challenges to solve through engaging, conversational content, particularly short-form vertical video. You will not be asked to appear on-camera, however, you will be responsible for concepting, capturing (on mobile), and editing engaging social-first content.

You are, first and foremost, an editor. You craft compelling video edits and static content that balance pace, emotion, humour and impact, with a strong understanding of what drives engagement in short-form formats. You’re fluent in tools like Photoshop and After Effects/Premiere Pro, and comfortable moving between platform-native editing and high-craft post-production when required.

You have a strong understanding of the U.K. social landscape, with a clear sense of what resonates culturally and drives engagement with U.K. audiences.

While this role is fully remote within the U.K. and requires no in-person attendance, being based in or near London is helpful for occasional collaboration.

What You'll Do:

  • Generate imaginative social ideas from reactive trends to larger creative concepts that keep the franchise’s presence lively, relevant, and impossible to scroll past
  • Turn those ideas into content pieces, created using Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop), native platform tools, and mobile apps
  • Create reactive, trend-led content at speed, responding to moments in culture and fandom in real time
  • Be on the pulse of platform trends, emerging formats, and cultural moments to keep content fresh and competitive
  • Ensure content aligns with brand tone while remaining native to platform culture and audience expectations
  • Foster a sense of community among the franchise's audience through content that resonates with with fandoms and cultures
  • Monitor online conversations and trends related to the franchise, adapting content and creative approach accordingly

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience as a Fan Editor, Social Creative or similar role, preferably within the entertainment industry, or equivalent experience running or creating content for a growing social channel
  • Strong editing skills across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and native platform tools
  • Strong organisational skills with your working files, following our internal workflow to ensure easy hand-off to other creatives.
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-quality content creation, including fan edits, meme content, or high-performing short-form video
  • Experience creating high-volume, fast-turnaround content
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, formats, and internet culture, including what drives engagement and how fandoms behave online
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas that lead to virality
  • Passion for entertainment and film franchises, in particular globally popular iconic characters

Non negotiable, portfolio to be provided on application:

  •  Portfolio of social concepts that you’ve ideated and edited (link)
